Day 34 - Russian Roulette with Eternity

I had some free tickets to give away today and two young ladies were interested. I gave them the tickets. They were excited to get in for free. I then handed them two Obama Million Dollar Bill gospel tracts. "What are these," they asked. "Stimulus money," I said, tongue in cheek. I then told them that they can't take a million dollars with them when they die and asked if they knew what their eternal destiny would be if they died today. "No, not really," they answered, shrugging it off as if it were no big deal. "Don't you want to know," I asked, following that up with "the Bible says you can know for sure what you're eternal destiny will be, and there's nothing more important than that." "Maybe in a couple of years of so," one lady responded. "A couple of years," I said. "What if you don't have a couple of years?" She looked at me blankly. Since they were obviously not very concerned about their eternal fate, I asked them if they knew that Jesus spoke more about hell than heaven. "No," they said. "Do you know what He said about hell," I asked, trying to get them to think seriously about their fate. More blank stares. "He said hell is a place where the fire is never quenched and the flesh never dies and there will be weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth for eternity. Do you know why He spoke more about hell than heaven?" More blank stares. "Because He loves us so much He doesn't want us to go there and gave us warning after warning about the danger and reality of hell." Still appearing quite unconcerned, I urged them to read the back of the tracts as soon as possible and take action before it's too late, because they don't know if they'll have another day. They are playing Russian roulette with the very souls! They could pass into eternity tonight and be completely unprepared, thus bearing the full weight of God's just wrath, which we all deserve (John 3:36).
