Shannon wanted some Hot Wok so I went to pick up on order for dinner. I walked in was the only customer. There were three employees sitting around. I placed my order and then started up a conversation with two of the guys at the front counter. I asked them if they had received their Obama stimulus money yet and handed them some million dollar bills. They were quite entertained by the bills with Obama's caricature. The third worker came running to the front to see them, too, so I gave him one as well. I told them they were gospel tracts and had the million dollar question on the back. They started reading them. I asked them if they knew where they would spend eternity when they die. One man said he thought he would go to heaven. I explained that the tract first addressed the moral law of God to show that we've broken all of God's law and deserving of death. I then showed him how the rest of the tract explained the gospel, the good news of how Jesus took our punishment for us so we don't have to pay it ourselves if we will repent and trust in Him alone for salvation. The other two walked off to the back of the kitchen. The Christian said he understood the gospel. I asked him where he went to church. He said he didn't go very often, because he often worked on Sunday. I explained that Jesus said his followers fish for men and that I use these gospel tracts to help fish for men, since we can't take anything with us to heaven except other people.
I should have asked him about his walk with the Lord to see how he's doing in his personal spiritual life, but we got off onto another tangent. I should have encouraged him to pursue a deep fellowship with the Lord through daily time in the word and fellowship with other believers. But, at least some seeds were sown.
