Friday mornings start early again with the resumption of Bible Study Fellowship. Leaders' meeting at 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. From there, I went straight downtown to meet a friend for evangelism at the courthouse. We had several good witnessing encounters that morning, encouraging people to seriously consider their eternal destiny, just as they seriously consider the temporal fate before an earthly judge. A group of guys with whom I had an opportunity to share the gospel responded in various ways. Several thanked me and showed appreciation. Several walked off with no response. It's all in the Lord's sovereign hands. He cares more than I do.
At lunch, I met a friend from BSF leaders' meeting at one of our favorite spots. I was encouraged as I walked in to see a young man working there with whom I've witnessed on several occasions. I was even more encouraged to see his warm and enthusiastic response to me. That meant a lot. We greeted each other warmly and got caught up since the last time I was there. Before leaving, I pulled out my millions. He smiled. He wanted several and said he'd spread them around for the other employees and guests. Fruit of the work of God in his life? Seems like a real good sign. Pray for him to come to a passionate commitment to the Lord.
