Wal-Mart is almost as good a place to witness as shopping malls. A lot of people just hang out and are browsing around, just killing time, while time is just killing them. It's very easy to be warm and friendly and just approach people nicely with a big Wal-Mart ear-to-ear smile and say, "Hey, did you get one of these yet?" and hand them a million dollar bill gospel tract.
I had to make a pit-stop at Wal-Mart this morning on my way to work. Using that very simple, friendly approach, I handed out three or four tracts. The first lady wasn't completely sure about her eternal destiny. I warmly encouraged her to read the tract, because God has made a way for us to have eternal life with him if we will obey the gospel. She thanked me and said she'd read it. I pray she did.
The next lady worked at Wal-Mart, too. I asked her where I could find the item I needed. She took me right to where it was located. In gratitude, I offered her a million dollar tip! She smiled and laughed. I wish that was real, she joked. I told that it was really a gospel tract. Cool, she responded. She went on to tell me that she is a student at Rhema Bible College and said she had a co-worker that she'd like to give it to. I encouraged her to read it first and then pass it along, because the most important thing we can do while we have time is fish for men.
The next guy said he had received one of these tracts before. I asked him if he read it and obeyed it. He said he was a believer. I don't know if that's true or not, but I encouraged him to follow the Lord and fish for men with it (Matt. 4:19).
