On the way home from my second oldest son's football game tonight, I stopped by his favorite place, Wendy's, to pick him up a late snack. The drive thru is a great place to drop off a tract and encourage someone to consider their eternal destiny. I thanked the lady at the window for her help and told her I had a gift for her. I handed her the gospel tract and encouraged her to read and consider her eternal fate, since nothing is more important than that. When there are no other cars in line and it looks fairly slow inside, I'll engage in more of a conversation, Lord willing. Much like I was able to do last night with Miguel.
When I got home, I hung out with my wife, Shannon, to talk for a while. She shared with me about her witnessing encounter. She had a great encounter with a man at a store she was at today. Though he raised several objections, she addressed them but kept moving consistently to the issue of his conscience by applying the law and drawing him back to his own fate. She has really started to become more and more bold in her witness, all because she's taken the time to become better equipped, which has built her confidence, and because she's started to step out in faith. That's discipleship. That's growth. That's being about the Lord's mission! Atta girl!
