As I passed out tracts at the Courthouse this morning, some said they already had received several of them the past few times they had been at the Courthouse. I asked them if they had repented of their sins and trusted in Christ as their Savior. One young man hesitated. I urged him to turn from his own ways to the follow the Lord before it's too late, since he doesn't know when his last day will be. His eyes locked onto me as we spoke with an interest that was noticeable. I hope the Lord gripped his heart with the gospel this time and moved him to truly consider his eternal fate.
Another young man professed to be a beleiver who was sincerely striving to the follow the Lord. He seemed to have genuinely receive Jesus as savior. He was in from out of town and looking for a church. I encouraged him to visit Tulsa Bible Church.
Another young man said he knew that his destiny would be a condo in hell. Does that concern you, I asked. No, he shrugged. I then went on to explain to him what Jesus said about hell. He didn't like and then said you can't trust a book written by man. It's not written by man, I responded. The evidence confirms that it is a supernatural book penned by the sovereign hand of God. I then explained to him several solid evidences for the reliability of the Bible. His heart still seemed pretty hard, so I concluded by explaining that Romans 2:15 says the concsience is on the most powerful evidences of the validity of the bible. I began to go through the law with him and how it proves our consciences convict us of sinfulness. As the law began to do its work on his heart, he walked off. He seemed to reject the word. I hope the Lord will draw him through the seeds that were sown.
Just a voice. A voice crying at the Courthouse.
